Just a quick guide on what is expected of our members in guild chat and vent. Biggest point to remember here is that we are all from different walks of life and we all have different beliefs and standards. None of us should be judging each other and we all deserve to be treated with respect.
Guild Chat:
Keep it PG-13 in nature and content. Do not use inflammatory or disparaging remarks towards others.
Vent Chat:
If you are in a raid channel remember that not everyone wants to hear your exploits. For the most part the only thing in that channel should be raid discussion. Some casual lighthearted conversation is fine during “down” times but let’s try to keep it clear for the raid.
Remember that the guild is requiring the raiders to be in vent and paying attention to what is said. With that in mind we all need to be considerate of others. I don’t want to make a list of what does and doesn’t offend others, just be logical about it. If you do wind up getting out of line the raid leader and or officer will let you know in a whisper. On that same note, if you are offended about something then please let the raid leader or officer know.
Remember we are all here to have fun and enjoy the game.
If you are in a vent channel with a few friends who you know don’t take offense to your conversation then let’r’rip. If you join a channel just for the heck of it and you don’t like the conversation and there is no need for you to be there, ie…that’s not the raid channel, it’s up to you to leave that vent channel and limit your exposure to the offensive chat.
