LOOT SYSTEM AND RULES ON LOOT10-Man:Basic, you choose... we run as a guild it will be on need or greed with rolls, BOE items may be banked or rolled within the group for sale. If there is an issue you may contact an Officer or something, but otherwise this is a free-for all outside of Guild Rule content at the moment. If the a new 10-man is released we will re-visit 10man policy. Of course any donation of BOE items or DE stuff to the bank will be more then welcome and much appreciated.
25-man Raids:Overall the system is simplistic in nature and will keep Veteran Raiders the ability to get what they want and at the same time open up loot for new members or raiders joining us as we progress. The system itself rewards dedicated raiders, but does not alienate new raiders.
Sooo, long story short here is what we are going with:
How to Earn DKP (C.R.E.A.M)2pts: On-Time Bonus Really want you guys to get signed up on the web-site so that the Officers/Council have time to set up strategies and groups before the raid day, BUT it is not required at this time. We would like to have input on the forums and it would save us downtime and drama over invites. We all know the raid days and times, to be "on-time" you would need to be in raid ready to roll by the
first pull. Basically the mod we use keeps track of who is online at each kill and records the guildies in and out of the raid.
It is put added into the FIRST kill of the night, so say you come online after that first kill you will not get the extra DKP. We need folks at the start of the raid, the end or middle of an existing raid is welcomed, but does not warrant extra DKP for that night.
0.5pt/hour: Hourly Work PayWhile in the instance or on wait-list you will receive 0.5 pts/hr, the trick to this is that we only get a snapshot of who is online when the Addon we use records a kill. So, if you log off before an instance as Waitlist you will not receive the extra DKP for that time between bosses or if you are in raid and same thing occurs. This is unavoidable due to the mechanics of the system addon we use.
10pts = First Boss Kill:If your are in the Raid when we kill a boss for the first time or if we get a Hard Mode kill of a farmed boss you will receive 10pts for the kill. If you were online at the start of the raid, but were on waitlist and were online during the boss kill you will also you get the 10pts; excluding Casual Rank.
There are some exceptions to this rule which will be at the discretion of the Officers and Council. If we feel a Raider or Member has put in his or her time on learning the new boss, BUT for some reason was either away for RL reasons or was late on that night, BUT online we will award the 10pts to that person as if they were in raid or on waitlist for the night. This is to award dedication of work on new bosses and we all know sometimes Real Life gets in the way that just happens to be on that one attempt we down a new boss. 2pts: Farm Kill :Farmed bosses (post first kill) awards 2pts per kill for those online from the start of the Raid that are on wait list (Casual Rank not included) or are in the Raid. Unlike a first kill, if you were not online at start of raid and are "late" to the wait list you will not get the 2pts.
I would like to reiterate how the addon works, the snapshot is taken at each boss kill, so we only know who is online at this time and not between. So, if you were there for the hour it took to get to Freya, but had to go a second before we down her, as a wait list you will not get the Hourly or Kill recorded... its just the mechanics and can not be avoided. OOPS the Loot Master Sucks: There will be mistakes and if there are feel free to request the DKP issue with a Post or online with an Officer of the Guild. Mostly it will be Darkpaw and Remm doing the DKP per raid, but will occasionally be others. The system is an Addon and with Addons there are issues as with other addons... etc.
How to Spend DKP (SOLD):Item Values: Item values are tiered based on demand. The minimum bid values are as follows;
* Tier Set Piece: 10 pts
* Weapons/Shields: 5pts
* Armor/Trink/Rings/Neck: 5pts
* Specials/Patterns: Roll per crafter
Bidding:Silent Bid MechanicsBids are taken by the Loot Mast or other indicated by Raid Warning. During the bidding period, you will send a tell to the Bid Taker for the value you want to spend on the item. You may send more then 1 Tell if you make a mistake - in most cases it will only be a single bid.
The Auctioneer will announce all bids closed and then will determine the winner and will announce in Vent the winner and cost of the item. Winner of the item is the high bidder and in the event of a tie we first determine the higher rank, if both the same rank we will do a random roll of 100 to determine the winner.
The cost of the item will be the second highest bid (plus 1 DKP) or in the event of a tie will be the actual Bid Value for the item.
Note: A bid of Min is equal on all fronts and will entail a Random 100 Roll for all that bid, independent of rank. A bid of min basically means you don't really want it, but could potentially use it.
Off-Spec versus Main-Spec BiddingMain Spec trumps Off-spec (aka Dual Spec) bids no matter the value. We are equipping mains over alts or dual for the overall effectiveness of the guild. A min bid of a Main Spec will be questioned and if not needed the Off-spec bids will be used in this special case. If no Main Spec Bids the Offspec bidding will be done in the same manner as the Main Spec and use the same DKP.
Tier Off-spec bidding: With the fun random Tier Token crap there will be a point when a certain set of classes will get there first go round at Tier Loot and will all have Main Spec Tier Loot. At this point all bids will essentially be Off-spec and as such the Minimum is out the window. You may bid 0-10000000 and the high will win. The only priority we set is that a Hybrid Class gets priority over a pure DPS class, being that a Tank and DPS set or DPS/Healer set is more important with Dual Spec then a DPS split spec. Most if not all the time a DPS usually just bids a minimal amount for say PVP gear or such.
Negative and Zero BidsBids below the minimum are allowed to allow and encourage off-spec bidding, but the price for the item will never be less than minimum. You are also allowed to go negative by bidding in this fashion. If you have 40 DKP and the minimum for the item is 100, you may bid up to your maximum DKP of 40. If you win, you will end up at -60 DKP but we would rather allow this than have an item someone could use be sharded. If you are already negative, the most you can bid is your current value, like -60. In the case of no 0 or greater bids on an item, the council has the right to decide the winner. This is to prevent abuse of going negative, but should not require council intervention except in extreme cases.
Bad BidsJoke bids will be charged 10% of the false bid. Illegal bids (bidding over what you have) will be rounded down to your current maximum if caught before bidding ends. If not, the bid will stand and you will go negative. Officer's have the discretion to assign a 50% penalty on top of the cost if merited, multiple errors will most likely lead to removal from the guild. In short, know how much DKP you have before you bid or ask if you are unsure.
Silent means SilentDiscussion of your bids before or during a drop is not allowed - this is known as collusion. Asking how much DKP another person has is allowed, as this is public information. In most cases, it will not be needed since you can overbid and only pay enough needed to win the item. Saying "I really want the mace" at some point during the raid is fine, saying it during the boss fight on a public channel once the loot drops is discouraged, saying it in a tell or private channel to another person so that you can take turns getting the loot is collusion. If we catch people colluding, we will kick you. If you want to simply take turns getting an item, bid the minimum value and hope the other person feels the same way - do NOT discuss it before the fact.
Bid Taker is a Neutral PartyThe bid taker will be a council member that will not be bidding on the item - either they would never want the loot or they already have it. In many cases this will be the loot master, but the loot master will ask another council member to take bids if they are interested in the loot. The loot master should do this whether they will be bidding or not to keep things fair.
Why Do This?If you strip out the special cases, it is a simple system. Send a bid, see who wins, the end. It will speed up the loot process so most drops can be assigned within 60 seconds if people know their DKP values. It will remove people "bidding each other up" and quickly assign a fair value to drops. It will even drop the prices by a slight amount.
As it stands, if an item drops with a min of 25 that raider A will pay up to 150 and raider B will pay up to 175, we have to sit around while they bid in increments from 25 up to 150+ when raider A finally drops out. In a silent bid system, they each send one tell ("150" and "175") and Raider B wins for 150 - slightly less than however much they would have added to Raider A's final bid.
How About an Example?Ok, simple example. T8 glove token drops and the minimum is 50. Raiders are letters, BT is bid taker, LM is loot master.
LM: T8 glove token dropped for my class, Joe take bids.
BT: Ok, now taking bids for T8 gloves, send your tells.
BT: (Links item in raid chat.)
BT: Keep vent clear, closing bids in 10 seconds.
A: /w BT 0
B: /w BT 150
BT: Closing bids in 5 seconds.
D: /w BT 200
BT: Closing bids in 5.. 4.. 3..
E: /w BT 135
BT: 2.. 1.. Bids closed.
BT: Winning bid was 200 by D, cost set by B at 150+1 = 151.
LM: (assigns loot to D, the addon will subtract 151 DKP from D at the point the loot is distributed)
Raid: Grats D, you suck.
Note:DKP is adjusted for loot during the raid, your numbers will drop in raid as we kill bosses and you win loot. Gained dkp for boss kills or hourly will not be added in until post raid. In other words you can't add in the kill to your DKP to bid with that night.
DKP StandingsDKP points and standings will be updated following the raid or at minimum by the prior to the next raid on the Website. There will be times the person that ran the Addon that night just can't get to it till the next raid, it's ok... we have the data and it will be there next raid... we promise.
Penalties/Deductions
We have removed penalties for not showing up with the adjustment of our signup policy.... BUT be fair, there are 24 other individuals depending on you to either contact someone directly or through the forums to let us know that you won't be there if you did signup early.
NOTE: WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE ANY VALUES OR CAP DKP BASED ON THE RESULTS IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS JUST ASK A COUNCIL OR OFFICER PRIOR TO THE RAID!
